Studio newborn sessions are peaceful, simple, and designed to take the pressure off you so you can sit back and soak it in. If you’re considering one, here’s everything you might be wondering—answered.
“When should I book?” The best time to schedule your session is during your second trimester. We’ll pencil in your due date, and once baby arrives, you’ll reach out to confirm a date—usually within the first 2–3 weeks after birth.

“What’s the difference between a Simply Newborn and a Signature Session?” My Simply Newborn Session is focused on baby only, with beautiful wrapped poses and a streamlined 90-minute session. The Signature Newborn Session is a full 3 hours, allowing time for family and sibling portraits, multiple styled setups, and a more relaxed pace.
“What should we bring?”Just the essentials! I provide everything we need for baby—wraps, blankets, props, and accessories. You don’t need to shop or pack a thing unless you have something special you'd like to include, for parents and siblings, soft, neutral tones photograph best.
“Can siblings be included?” Yes! The Signature Newborn Session includes family and sibling portraits. We spend the first 45-60 minutes on those portraits so older siblings can head out afterward with a partner or relative, keeping the studio calm and cozy for baby’s solo time.
“What should we wear if we’re doing family portraits? Keep it soft and simple. Neutral, solid colors like ivory, beige, gray, or soft pastels photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your connection with baby. Avoid bold patterns, logos, or distracting graphics. Bare feet are welcome in the studio, and timeless textures—linen, ribbed cotton, knit—add subtle visual interest without taking over the frame.
Studio newborn sessions are designed to be easy. You’ve just had a baby—let this be the part where you take a deep breath and let someone else take care of the details. I’ve got you.
